Brendan got me The Marshall Mathers LP on vinal for Christmas.
I love him.
My love for Marshall AKA Slim Shady AKA Eminem is very very deep. I could go on and on for days about his brilliant rhymes, his lyrical geniusry, his general love of comic books and his dorkyness. But I wont. Instead here are 3 of my favorite (out of a a zillion favorite) Emimen songs.
1. Music Box, Relapse: Refill.
(This is not Eminem's greatest album. If I were to ever murder a man, I would play this song. It's creepy that way.)
2. The Real Slim Shady, The Marshall Mathers
(Slim Shady is the first Eminem song I heard. In 4th grade {By the time they hit fourth grade/They got the Discovery Channel don't they/}, I was TOTALLY HOOKED! I remember thinking But if we can hump dead animals and antelopes/then there's no reason that a man/ and another man can't elope- this man is genius. Plus Kathy Griffin and David Anders are in the music video. Anyway, Best.)
3. Love the Way You Lie, Recovery
(This song is made of beauty and perfection. I can't tell you what it really is, I can only tell you what it feels like...)
