Fashion Friday!

Melissa:
So this isn't really about fashion. More about my own crafty hobbies. See my Japanese-monolingual-grandmother taught me to crochet about 2 years ago. And I'm not very good at it. But since I don't have a working sewing machine right now and I feel the horrible, desperate need to create something with my hands, I decided to pick up my hooks and go to town! Also, it's a really nice bus hobby.

what I actually look like

what I look like 90% of the time

what I look like the other 10%. Also, trying to figure out Photobooth

what my boss at Payless looks like. Seriously

But seriously, these are really cute hats. Here are the actually links if you wanna be creative.
Yellow Urban Revivial Hat
Red Easy Slouchy Hat

The red hat is ridiculously easy, and the yellow hat is a little bit harder. I had to adjust the size on each one a tiny bit to fit my head and my style (I don't like hats that look like giant pizzas on my head). But it's your choice and hey, it's fall. Hats are cool!

Rachel:
Bahahahaha!!! Melissa has a funny face. Moving on...

Sticking with my Men Fashion Theme, I would love to laugh about Men's Pants in the Regency Era. I love them. I love them on Colin Firth. I love them on Alan Rickman. I love them on Toby Stephens, and by god, if I had access to a pair you bet my previous boyfriends/boy-toys would have been shoved in a pair faster than you can say 'Edward Rochester."

But in all seriousness, they are ridiculous. What is that silly flap at the front? Easy access flap? Overly large pocket? Why are the pants so high? Why are they always a white to a vanilla cream?

Anyway, these pants are awesome and every male should own a pair. Seriously. EVERY. MALE. SHOULD. OWN. A. PAIR.  So any guy who wants to........................have stimulating conversations that enlighten the mind & soul on Halloween, wear those pants and look me up.

A Note About This Post: After doing a big of research I realized that Toby Stephens does not actually wear Regency pants in Jayne Eyre for obvious reasons,( Time Stamp: 1847) but for the good of womankind he should have.

Melissa:
Note:
1- Toby Stephens could wear anything previous to the Edwardian Era and I'd desperately want to rip it off of him in a passion. Sorry, Mom, if you read that.
2- My most recent boyfriend was offered a pair of these pants. His fashion designer roommate had to make them for a class. And I was so excited. I asked about them for about 2 months straight and when they weren't made I was very upset. I'm still a little upset because that would have been a fantasy come true. Seriously, Men, get a pair of these. Right. Now.
